Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta

Kimosabi

El Curval, Colombia

"From the heart of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta", this is how Kimosabi presents itself, a truly spectacular place in the majestic foothills of this Colombian mountain.

Kimosabi is not only a tourist destination, but also a refuge for those who want to immerse themselves in nature and art, where the connection with the environment is the fuel for creativity. Here, far from the hustle and bustle of urban life, a space opens up for the development of environmental, cultural projects and works of art in various disciplines, either individually or in collaboration with other artists, depending on the desires and specific needs of each individual.

What does Kimosabi mean?

The answer lies in a beautiful story of togetherness. In a time of frequent conflict between indigenous peoples and white settlers, two children met under tragic circumstances. The Native American boy lost his parents to the white settlers, while his white friend witnessed the death of his parents at the hands of the Apaches. Despite cultural differences and tensions, the Indian boy invited the white boy to join his tribe, but was rejected there. In a gesture of deep friendship, the two cut their palms and mixed their blood, becoming "blood brothers" or "Kimosabis," a bond that transcended divisions and enmities.

At Kimosabi, we believe in unity, connection with nature, and transformation through art. With your purchase you not only support an art project in Colombia, but you become part of our community, a Kimosabi, a blood brother who finds in this corner of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta an inexhaustible source of inspiration and personal growth. We invite you to join us on this journey of artistic exploration and connection with nature.
